Kyorugi (Sparring)
Sparring gives students the opportunity to put all their kicking and stepping skills together in a one-on-one situation. The goal is to score points by landing kicks on their opponent. Students always wear protective gear during sparring practice – and the ultimate aim is learning and safety. Practicing sparring helps:
- Develop responsiveness by applying a combination of skills in a creative fashion
- Improve endurance and speed
- Build self-confidence
